Anerisart figurative sculptures by Miriam Mora

Miriam Mora. Barcelona, 1980

I started modeling clay mythological figurines as a self-taught sculptor in late 2007. Since I was a child I have always liked myths and legends, in fact my favorite characters were mermaids and I was known at my first school for telling stories about mermaids and also for writing and drawing my own fairy tales.
Two years later I learnt other craft techniques such as painting on silk scarves, making paper Mache dolls and paper lamps, however, what I most liked was sculpting in clay so I continued making my figurines while working for several years. Finally, I decided to take sculpture classes and I have trained as a sculptor from 2014 to 2018.
